The MDelite iProElite

The MDelite iProElite is a multi-modality platform (IPL, RF, exfoliation) used for dry eye treatment and skin rejuvenation, typically requiring 3–4 sessions spaced 2–4 weeks apart. Patients can expect a 20–30 minute, painless procedure to reduce inflammation and improve tear quality, with minimal downtime.

Key Patient Education Points

  • Preparation: Arrive with clean skin (no makeup/lotion). Discontinue tanning and photosensitive meds 1–2 weeks before treatment.

  • The Procedure: A gel is applied, followed by a handpiece delivering warm, soothing light/radio-frequency pulses around the eyes or face.

  • What it Treats: Dry eye symptoms (stinging, redness, burning) by stimulating meibomian glands. It also treats sun spots and vascular inflammation.

  • Aftercare: Use sunscreen immediately afterward and daily. Avoid sun exposure for two weeks, and use hydrating eye drops to maximize comfort.

  • Safety & Technology: Includes a "Milo Meter" to measure skin melanin for personalized, safe energy settings. Not recommended for pregnant individuals or those with certain medical implants.

Expected Results
Significant relief or skin improvement is often observed after the first or second session, with optimal result after the full 3-4 session protocol.

Low-Level Light Therapy

Medical-Grade Light Therapy Isn’t a Buzzword

What “Medical-Grade” Low-Level Light Therapy Actually Means
Low-level light therapy (LLLT) is everywhere right now. But not all light therapy is created equal and not all of it belongs in a clinical setting.

“Medical-grade” isn’t a buzzword. It’s a standard.

First: What LLLT Actually Does
Low-level light therapy, also referred to as photobiomodulation, uses specific wavelengths of light to stimulate cellular function. When delivered correctly, these wavelengths interact with mitochondrial chromophores in the skin, triggering cellular signaling, ATP production, increased circulation, and tissue repair pathways

This is why LLLT has been studied across both medical and aesthetic applications, including inflammation management, wound healing, skin rejuvenation, and recovery support

The Mistake Most People Make
They stop at wavelength. Wavelength matters. But wavelength alone doesn’t determine results.

What “Medical-Grade” Really Means
Not all light therapy systems deliver light in a way that produces consistent biological response.

Medical-grade LLLT is defined by control, consistency, and dose.

That includes:

  • Clinically relevant wavelengths

  • Verified irradiance (power density)

  • Measured fluence (total energy delivered)

  • Consistent output across the entire treatment area

  • Built-in safety protocols

Consumer or wellness devices may emit light but without sufficient energy density or controlled delivery, outcomes become unpredictable.

Why Bright ≠ Effective
Light therapy isn’t about brightness.
It’s about how much energy reaches the tissue.

If irradiance is too low or energy delivery is inconsistent, the biological response becomes unreliable even if the wavelength is technically correct

This is where consumer devices fall short in clinical environments.

Without the correct dose, light may feel soothing but it won’t reliably activate the cellular responses LLLT is known for

Why Providers Care (Even If Patients Don’t Ask)

Patients don’t ask about fluence or irradiance. They ask whether it works.

Medical-grade systems allow providers to:

  • Deliver repeatable results

  • Train staff with confidence

  • Standardize protocols

  • Integrate treatments without slowing the day

Consistency is the real value.

MDelite's OcuLift

MDelite's OcuLift is a non-invasive, 20-minute, two-step protocol designed to tighten, lift, and rejuvenate both upper and lower eyelids without needles, surgery, or downtime. Using micro-focused radiofrequency (RF) and exfoliation on the iProElite platform, it stimulates collagen and elastin to reduce fine lines and crepey skin around the eyes.

Key Patient Education Points

  • What it Treats: Addresses upper lid hooding, lower lid saggy skin, under-eye puffiness, and overall fine lines and wrinkles in the periorbital area.

  • The Procedure: A quick 20-minute, in-office session that requires no downtime. It is described as comfortable, warm, and relaxing.

  • How it Works: The iProElite platform uses a two-step process: (1) Diamond E 360 for skin resurfacing and exfoliation, and (2) Micro-Focused RF to stimulate collagen-producing fibroblasts.

  • Number of Sessions: A series of 3–4 treatments is typically recommended for optimal results.

  • Results: Visible improvement in eyelid laxity and skin tightness can be seen gradually after a few weeks.

  • Safety: Safe for the delicate, sensitive skin around the eyes, requiring no numbing or protective shields.

Benefits

  • Non-invasive and no downtime.

  • Treats both upper and lower eyelids simultaneously.

  • Stimulates natural collagen production.

OcuLift is ideal for patients seeking a "refreshed" look and to delay the need for surgical procedures like blepharoplasty
