I came to Dr. Tran with excruciating eye pain, light sensitivity, and overall my eye lids just feeling like sandpaper against my eyes caused by dry eye from Sjogrens Disease. I had previous eye doctors keep telling me to take over the counter eye drops and just hope it got better. Dr. Tran took the time to listen to me that those over the counter treatments weren't working and my concerns and how it was effecting my ability to work (healthcare), drive, and even do basic things I enjoyed like reading books. She came up with an actual treatment plan and it took months, but it worked and I am about 95% normal again with these treatments. We did the low light therapy, IPL treatments and Lipiflow which worked exponentially. I would say while these treatments are expensive and sometimes not covered by insurance it was 100% worth it. I love most how Dr. Tran listens to the patient and their concerns and really cares about the works she does and wants to see her patients get better. I liked that when I first came in, she made me feel heard and valued and we had a progressive plan that day. She was willing to try anything and everything to help me get back to normal. Highly recommend!!

After over 20 years in AK I was finally able to find a place knowledgeable enough to treat my daily frequent eye irritation, burning, tearing up, scratchiness and dryness. Dr. Tran and her team (Linda, Emma, Daniel and Lauren) are inviting, approachable and experienced. The clinic is comforting and relaxing. Their selection of eye glasses is unique and eye exam is thorough. Dr. Tran brings some of the latest up to date science in treating her patient's eyes. If you are ready to address the underlying issues of your eyes' health this is the place! Over the last 2 years I have completed TearCare, LipidFlow, Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT), Intense Pulse Light (IPL), Red Light Therapy and Prokera. Eye Rosacea is painful but can be resolved. My eye and skin Rosacea has significantly improved! Red Light Therapy has been a game changer in treating my eyes (Dermatologists and Estheticians can not treat the eye area if they are not an Optometrist). I have gone from thinking about my why my eyes hurt or are sore frequently everyday to no eye issues for months at a time. It is life changing! Dr. Tran has treatments that are so comforting. She also can recommend lifestyle and nutrition changes that can improve outcomes if you are willing and able to commit to lifestyle choices. My eyes feel like they did in my 20's and I only trust Dr. Tran and her team with them from here out. If you have been like me and have tried other places, why not try the best? I have not been paid or offered any discounts for this review but I have been frustrated with other Optometrists in Anchorage and Eagle River.

I started seeing Dr. Tran several years ago after failed dry eye treatment with another in town provider. Dr. Tran has helped me so much and I wished I would’ve found her sooner! She has got some of the latest treatments for chronic dry eye that she can do right in her office, no need to go to Seattle! Her office is very nice and all her staff are wonderful. Highly recommend Dr. Tran for all of your chronic dry eye needs!

Dr. Tran was great, listened to my concerns, and got me what I needed. Emma was SO nice and SO helpful in picking out my glasses and hyping me up about the pair I picked out. She was bubbly, funny, and personable. Her customer service skills and personality really shine in her work. Dr. Tran & the team are lucky to have her!
